Cait Ference-Saunders (she/hers) is a trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator, RYT-500, and community storyteller. She is going to be leading a series of intimate practices over the next few months.
TCTSY (Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive yoga) is a yoga-based, empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This modality has foundations in trauma theory, attachment theory, neuroscience, and hatha yoga, with an emphasis on body-based yoga forms and breathing practices. Developed by the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute, TCTSY emphasizes choice, non-coercive language, and interoceptive awareness to foster healing and resilience.
Trauma-sensitive yoga provides an opportunity to practice movement in your body on your own terms. This form gives participants the chance to explore choice-making, body awareness, and sharing power with your facilitator. It does not seek to process or “fix” trauma, but rather empowers you with tools to navigate your own healing.

“Your Postpartum Body: What to Know to Support Yourself After Baby”
A pelvic floor physical therapist (and mother) will talk you through the most common issues that may come up after having a baby, along with how you can address them. We’ll talk about everything from leaking urine to abdominal separation to C-section recovery. The mother’s body is often an afterthought once the baby arrives, so this education session is designed to help you understand what your body may be going through and know how you can support yourself. Whether your kid is 6 months or 6 years old, it’s never too late to help your body thrive!
